What we collect
- If you sign in with Google: your email address, your name, and when you last signed in. We use them to keep you signed in and to know your plan. We never see your Google password.
- If you join the Pro waitlist: your email address, where on the site you joined, and whether you also asked for product news. We use it to tell you when Pro opens and, only if you asked, to send occasional news.
- If you turn on trend alerts: the alerts you set and the browser push subscription (or the Telegram chat) we send them to.
- If you track lines: each line you track (player, game, stat, side, line, book, the price and stake you entered), when you tracked it, and what the book’s latest line and our estimate were at that moment. They make up your track record, which only you can see. A line can be removed until tip-off; after that it stays in your record until your account is deleted, which deletes them all. Your book choice on player pages is kept in a cookie in your browser.
- How the site is used: pages viewed, the buttons and filters used (for example which stat or line you picked), the site that sent you, and your browser, device type and country. We count this with Umami, an analytics tool we run on our own servers. It sets no cookies and does not follow you across other sites. For a share of visits we also record the session (what was on screen, clicks and scrolling) to find what is confusing; everything typed into a form field is masked before it leaves your browser.
Where it is kept
In our own database, hosted in the United States. Session recordings are deleted after 30 days. Account and waitlist data stay until you ask us to delete them.
Emails
We email the waitlist when Pro opens. Product news goes only to people who ticked the box for it. Every email has an unsubscribe link.
Your choices
Email privacy@hoopsgraph.com to see, correct or delete what we hold about you, or to leave the waitlist. Ad blockers and the browser’s Do Not Track setting do not break the site.
Age
Hoopsgraph is for adults (21+). We do not knowingly collect data from children.
Changes
If this page changes, the date at the top changes too. Big changes will be announced on the site.
